Description of Responsibilities

• Execute a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety while meticulously elucidating each phase of the procedure
• Work in unison with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-caliber diagnostic images
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment, promptly addressing any malfunctions
• Diligently document procedures and manage patient records using the electronic medical record system
• Remain updated on advancements in sonographic techniques and industry standards

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Preferred: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
• Preferred: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
