City/State: White Plains, New York Department: WPH Radiology Admin_8 Bargaining Unit: WPH - 1199 Tech Work Shift: Night Work Days: 75 Scheduled Hours: 11 PM-7 AM Hours Per Pay Period: 75 Pay Rate/Range: $52.04 - $62.88 (subject to shift differential, experience, education, or other factors) Sign On Bonus: $15,000 Essential Functions Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors. Prepares and positions patients correctly for specific examinations, observes different and special requirements for each protocol, including proper documentation on images and required body part questionnaires. Assumes responsibilities for designated areas and/or procedures and produces good technical images, reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness for the type of test ordered. Assists physicians during procedures as necessary. Performs equipment quality assurance and calibrations as needed, notifying senior staff when supplies are low and need to be ordered. Will be required to work in case of emergency procedures or when situations arise in the department; works on call, holiday, overtime, and/or day, evening, and overnight shift coverage to help maintain adequate and safe coverage for the department. Maintains the cleanliness of all work areas, equipment, and accessories; reports all malfunctioning equipment to Bio Med or senior staff. Processes images, or prints CDs if needed. Performs routine office duties, such as answering phones, checking previous reports/films, documenting information on patients in EPIC, hospital RIS and PACS digital X‑ray system. Notifies transport when patients are ready to be picked up or returned to floors. May be assigned as an instructor or preceptor. Treats all people/staff in a professional and courteous manner, upholding the hospital's behavioral standards. Introduces self, uses two patient identifiers, and explains the exam to the patient and/or family member. Knowledgeable and skillful in providing care and meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of different patient populations (neonate/newborn, pediatric/adolescent, adult, and geriatric). Performs New York State and ACR quality assurance tasks and calibrations. Performs other related duties as required, attends staff meetings and in‑services. Duty hours may change according to the needs of the department or hospital. On standby/on call for emergency department coverage. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Aware of department‑specific protocols and policies; such as Stroke Program / Code Gray, IV & Oral contrast, etc. Qualifications High School diploma required. Certificate in allied health education and accredited radiography school or hospital‑based program required; or Associate Degree in allied health education and accredited radiography school or hospital‑based program preferred. 2years of experience preferred. Arc‑registered RT and/or R and/or CT certification or NMTCB registered (CNMT) and documented training and experience in operating CT equipment and radiation physics and protection upon hire required. BLS Basic Life Support within 90 days required. New York State‑Department of Health Radiology License upon hire required; or New York State‑Department of Health Limited Permit upon hire required. DOE IV certification preferred; completion within 6months required. Radiation dose pledge for both Image Gently and Image Wisely performed during orientation and before end of probation (6months). Passing advanced CT examination/certification (ARRT) within 1year from date of hire required. Continuing education: 24 ECE credits over a two‑year period (based on year of birth).
