RN - PreOp - PACU - Casual Status - Encinitas

This is a Casual status also known as Per diem position. The shifts are 12 hours with a variable start times. The shift start time could vary between 0515-1100. Call is expected week days and nights for PACU averaging about 3-4 times per month. The minimum casual status requirement is 2 shifts per pay period plus call coverage. Ideally training for this position is part- full time then once trained, the casual status begins. We will work with your schedule. Responsibilities include: This position will be cross trained to work in pre. Post, procedural which means pre-oping surgical, Cath lan, IR, ENDO and Interventional Pulmonology patients. Also to recover these patients. Providing direct patient care within the scope of your practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under their supervision. Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care

Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in an acute PACU department or ICU Current CA RN License. Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred Preop Experience prefer 2 years PACU or ICU experience
