Outside Sales Representative I (Setter)

Recent severe weather and large hail throughout the Des Moines metro and surrounding communities have created increased demand for our services, and R3 Roofing & Exteriors is growing our Outside Sales team.

We're looking for motivated, outgoing, competitive individuals who are ready to get into the field, connect with homeowners, and take advantage of an opportunity to earn, grow, and build a career in the roofing and storm restoration industry. No roofing experience? No sales experience? That's okay.

If you're coachable, comfortable talking to people, willing to work hard, and motivated by performance and earning potential, we'll teach you the rest.

What Does A Setter Do?

As an Outside Sales Representative I, commonly called a Setter, you'll work in residential neighborhoods throughout the Des Moines metro and surrounding storm-affected communities.

Your primary responsibility is to connect with homeowners and offer complimentary property inspections.

You do not climb roofs or conduct the inspection yourself.

Once a homeowner agrees to an inspection, you'll hand the opportunity off to an Outside Sales Representative II (Closer), who conducts the property inspection and works with the homeowner through the next steps.

What You'll Be Doing

Engage with homeowners in residential neighborhoods throughout the Des Moines metro

Offer complimentary property inspections and schedule appointments

Maintain clear communication with your assigned Closer and ensure a smooth handoff

Build rapport and trust with homeowners while representing R3 professionally

Generate quality leads and referrals

Learn the roofing and storm restoration industry from experienced team members

Participate in team training, coaching, competitions, and development

Continuously develop your sales skills with the goal of advancing within the organization

What We're Looking For

Self-motivated, competitive, and dependable

Comfortable working outdoors and canvassing residential neighborhoods five days per week

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Confident starting conversations with new people

Coachable and willing to learn

Positive, growth-focused attitude

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass a background check
