As a Patient Representative, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive experience for every patient and family. You'll often be the first point of contact, helping coordinate care and ensuring each visit is smooth, organized, and positive.

Pediatric Associates of Barrington has proudly cared for families in our community for almost 30 years. Our experienced and compassionate team provides personalized care for every stage of childhood - from those very first newborn visits all the way through young adulthood. We love partnering with families and helping guide them through each milestone along the way.

With 6 clinicians and 18 dedicated team members, and two locations, we are committed to delivering exceptional pediatric care in a welcoming and supportive environment. We are excited to welcome you to our team!

Schedule: 16 hours per week with rotating Saturdays, candidates must be able to commute to both locations. General Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Crystal Lake

• Standard shifts fall within the 8:00am6:00pm window
• Rotating Saturday mornings: 8:15am12:00pm
• Rotating late shift: 9:30am6:00pm

Barrington

• Regular shift: 8:00am5:00pm, MondayFriday

The Patient Representative is the first point of contact for patients, families and many other sources. Works under the direct supervision of the Practice Manager.

• Answers phones, schedules appointments and verifies patient information.
• Completes check-in, check-out and end of day processing.
• Enters charges; collects and posts payments.
• Collects patient balances.
• Copies medical records.
• Scans incoming patient records/reports.
• Completes end of day process.
• Processes medical records requests.
• Demonstrates and supports PediaTrust Core Values.

Performs digital health workflows and initiatives. Performs complete referral authorizations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: High School diploma required. Ability to multitask. Must be detail oriented. Good communication skills and customer service skills. General computer knowledge. Problem-solving skills. Team player.

Required Length & Type of Experience: 2 years of customer service experience. Office based work experience preferred.

Physical/Environmental Demands: Some travel required. Bending and lifting. Walking. Exposure to infectious disease. Exposure to biohazards and other hazardous materials.
