Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, part of SAL Community Services, is the Quad Cities area's leading provider of early childhood care and education. We provide a safe, secure and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for. As a Cook on our team, you will perform day-to-day operations involved in serving of meals and snacks in a child care setting; coordinates menus and various cooking assignments. This means you'll do things like:

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children and staff;
• Operate standard cooking equipment and utensils;
• Participate in the cleaning of kitchen area; and,
• Purchases foods and plans menus in accordance with CACFP guidelines

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position must obtain required background clearances. Requests for reasonable accommodation as required under applicable law will be considered.

Education and Experience Required: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Knowledge of Child and Adult Care Food Program requirements and Food Service Sanitary license.
