Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (Certified Surgical Tech)
• Proven nursing background, particularly experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Strong understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Solid grasp of surgical instrumentation and workflow
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and surgical teams
• Resourceful, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring proper sterilization and setup of instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Assist surgeons directly during surgical procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and performing other support functions
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
• Monitor and manage surgical field sterility before and during procedures
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, RNs, anesthesiologists, and other professionals to achieve positive patient outcomes
• Ensure proper handling and tracking of surgical specimens
• Support post-procedure clean-up, instrument processing, and room turnover
