Mike's Bikes is seeking both aspiring and experienced hands-on individuals to join their dynamic Tech Department as a Bike Technician. What Does Your Day Job Look Like:

- Repair a wide range of bikesfrom brand-new race machines to well-worn daily commuters

What You Bring To The Table:

- Ideally 1+ years of experience with bicycle maintenance

- A quick learner with technical aptitude and great communication skills

- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

- Comfortable working with your hands and using tools regularly

- Physically up for it! Lifting bikes, climbing ladders, and moving around the store is part of the gig

- Comfortable chatting with customers in person and on the phone

- Capable of standing for long periods and performing repetitive motions

- Motivated to succeed in a goal-oriented, fast-paced environment

- Flexible and available to work weekends as needed

Hourly Range: This compensation package will be dependent on experience, qualifications, and industry experience with a starting range between $18-$26/hr plus a bi-weekly bonus potential of $250. Experienced techs can potentially earn between $22/hr-$26/hr.

Entry level candidates can expect to make at least $17 an hour (or more depending on the local minimum wage) plus a bi-weekly bonus potential of $250. We offer medical and dental benefits to full-time employees as well as a 401K plan with company matching, and paid time off.

Duties:

• Execute successful repairs independently to the satisfaction of Company standards.
• Communicate with customers in person and via Ikeono regarding the status of their bicycle repair.
• Complete daily tasks as assigned within prescribed timelines while communicating any exceptions to the General Manager.
• Keep abreast of technical aspects of bicycle repair, and new products by completing assigned Myagi training modules by the deadlines.
• Maintain tools and bench area on a daily basis according to Company standards.
• Become familiar with Mike's Bikes' safety program as it applies to your job. Wear safety equipment as required when using the grinder, heat gun, air compressor, drills, etc.
• Learn and follow safety procedures when utilizing degreasers, lubricants and ArmaKleen Parts Cleaner.

Requirements

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.
