Information System Security Officer

The Horizon 2 Program is looking for you, our next Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support all facets of SAIC’s Information Protection Program out of our El Segundo facility . As our ISSO, you will assist the ISSM (Information Systems Security Manager) and provides oversight, guidance, and technical support, on IT and information system security issues affecting the mission of the customer by implementing information system security practices, policies and technologies. You will also interface with internal and external customers and have an understanding of Contractor Program Security functions, responsibilities, and disciplines that make up a strong Security Program.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain operational security posture for programs and information systems.

• Information Security interface to government customer and Accrediting Authorities.

• Support and track customer security authorization activities.

• Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support authorization and accreditation.

• Prepare and review documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) packages, and Security Controls Traceability Matrices (SCTMs) and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M).

• Conduct periodic reviews and evaluations of required IS policies and procedures.

• Support IS Security Inspections, tests, and reviews.

• Support and maintain the IS Continuous Monitoring Plan.

• Process hardware and software requests, and conduct software due diligence.

Qualifications

This is You:

• Bachelors Degree and five (5) years or more experience.

• Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).

• Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.

• Must have applicable DoD 8140 (formerly DoD 8570) certification (e.g. Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).

• Must have strong documentation process experience.

• Demonstrated experience supporting air gapped, isolated, or high-security information systems.

• Strong understanding of system hardening, patching, and configuration management in offline environments.

• Familiarity with security compliance frameworks, STIGs, CIS benchmarks, or similar.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
