Section Litigation Manager (Administrator IV)

The Department of Law, Civil Litigation and Employment Law section seeks a Litigation Manager to lead and improve the tracking, management, and delivery of litigation across multiple practice areas. The role focuses on building systems that support litigation operations, analyzing case and workload data to inform leadership decisions, and driving process improvements. Responsibilities Manage litigation‑related projects and identify opportunities to improve tracking, coordination, and delivery. Collect, track, and analyze litigation data to identify trends, workloads, and resource needs. Support staffing decisions and operational improvements based on data insights. Identify staffing needs, improve workflows, implement best practices, and facilitate after‑action reviews. Serve as work lead and resource for all section paralegals, guiding and improving daily workflows. Refine onboarding, enhance training, and support paralegal and attorney intake teams. Develop and implement litigation best practices, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency and service delivery. Create manuals and trainings to support the implementation of new and existing practices. Minimum Qualifications Seven (7) years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience equal to seven years. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data structuring). Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and identify trends. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and active listening skills. Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset. Coaching and developing people; creative and strategic problem‑solving; interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Preferred Qualifications Legal project management and/or legal process analysis and improvement experience. Experience tracking workloads, case assignments, or operational metrics across teams or projects. Proficiency with legal case management systems such as ProLaw. Experience developing dashboards or visual reports. Experience working in a litigation environment. Conditions of Employment Applicants must pass a thorough background investigation.
