HR Director

Our client, a global manufacturing company , is seeking an HR Director for a key manufacturing operation in Byesville, Ohio .

This is a highly visible HR leadership role partnering directly with site and senior business leaders.

The position will help shape the talent strategy, strengthen organizational effectiveness, develop leadership capabilities, and support a strong, engaged frontline workforce.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership while remaining closely involved in the day-to-day HR needs of the manufacturing organization.

This individual will also lead organizational design, talent development, succession planning, change management, and culture initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR and employee engagement initiatives for a frontline manufacturing workforce.
• Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute workforce strategies aligned with business priorities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational, talent, leadership, and employee-related matters.
• Lead organizational design and change management initiatives.
• Drive succession planning, talent development, and leadership pipeline activities.
• Use workforce data and analytics to identify trends, capability gaps, retention risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead initiatives focused on leadership development, team effectiveness, employee engagement, and culture.
• Partner with corporate HR Centers of Excellence to implement company-wide programs at the site level.
• Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of HR programs through technology, digital tools, and AI.
• Support compensation, talent management, workforce planning, and other key HR processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Strong HR business partnering experience supporting senior leadership.
• Experience working within a complex or matrixed organization.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and build credibility across an organization.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to support business and workforce decisions.
• Experience with HR technology, compensation processes, and Google Workspace or similar business tools.
• Experience using AI or digital tools to improve HR strategy or operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• HR leadership experience supporting a frontline workforce in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a large, complex manufacturing organization.
• Advanced degree or professional HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR.
• Experience managing people or leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational development and change management experience.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities.
• Consultative leadership style with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decisions.
