Senior Project Manager

MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a leading technology client at their campus in Rancho Cordova, CA . This is a fully onsite position responsible for managing commercial facilities and construction projects from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and facilities project management , with experience working directly with clients and multiple stakeholders. Experience supporting light laboratory, semiconductor, cleanroom, R&D, or critical environments is highly preferred. This position is initially a contract opportunity with the potential to transition into a contract-to-hire role based on business needs and performance. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple facilities and construction projects from planning through closeout. Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for project stakeholders. Oversee projects ranging from approximately $50,000 to $5 million in value. Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal client teams. Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and project execution plans. Track project milestones, costs, risks, and deliverables while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget. Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders. Review contractor proposals, change orders, invoices, and project documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and client standards. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Mentor junior project managers when appropriate and provide guidance on complex project issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement project management best practices. Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in: Construction Management Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Architecture Or a related field 5–7 years of commercial construction or facilities project management experience. Experience managing projects within occupied commercial facilities. Proven experience working directly with clients and executive stakeholders. Strong understanding of project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting light laboratories, semiconductor manufacturing, cleanroom, or R&D facilities. Experience managing infrastructure and workplace improvement projects. Commercial interiors construction experience. Experience using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software. Experience managing project budgets, cost reports, contracts, and change orders. Knowledge of commercial building systems, construction methods, and applicable building codes. Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and modern project management technologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
