This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work 35 hours a week, collaborating closely with educators and families to enhance students’ mobility, independence, and overall participation in educational activities.

You’ll have the opportunity to use your specialized skills to assess, design, and implement effective plans of care, helping students achieve their individual goals in a supportive and resource-rich environment.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in New York State
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Ability to develop and execute PT interventions tailored to student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators and families
• Comfortable providing both direct therapy and consultative support across K-12th grade populations
• Commitment to documentation and adherence to compliance standards

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and create individualized care plans for students requiring physical therapy
• Provide one-on-one and group PT sessions in coordination with classroom plans
• Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support students’ IEP goals
• Maintain organized records and contribute to progress monitoring and educational planning
• Educate staff and parents on strategies to support students’ mobility and independence throughout the school day
