Akkodis is seeking Junior Production Planner for a Contract with a direct client in Twinsburg, Ohio

Salary: $22 -$25 hourly on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Location: Twinsburg, Ohio

Summary

The Junior Production Planner will be an integral part of the supply chain planning team, assisting with the coordination and management of production, MRO and project materials. The role focuses on executing work orders, managing material flow, and supporting planning efforts for both ongoing and future production projects. The Junior Production Planner will work on MRO request and parts pulling.

Job Location: Twinsburg, Ohio

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

o Oversee kit pulling, material put-away activities and parts request and parts pulling

o Assist with forecasting materials using new forecasting tools.

o Update material master data for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul).

• Provide Back-up Support for OE Planner: Step in as needed to support Original Equipment

• Release and Manage Work Orders: Ensure work orders are created, released, and tracked effectively through production. (OE) planners

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.

• 0-2 years of experience in a supply chain or planning role, with a foundational understanding of production and operations.

Knowledge/Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of production and operations processes.

• Ability to use metrics to track and manage production efficiency and material flow.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

• Capability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma is a plus.

• Eagerness to learn new processes and tools for efficient planning.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

N/A

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, such as SAP or Oracle.

• Basic knowledge of Bill of Materials (BoM) management and production routing processes.

• Familiarity with inventory management techniques such as cycle counting, ABC analysis, and demand forecasting.

• Experience with non-conforming material handling, including documentation, scrap processing, and repair order management.
