Locations: Bridgeton & Millville areas Employment Type: Full time, part time, and Float (Sat/Sun 7a-9p & Fri 3p-11, Sat/Sun 7a-9p) Pay Rate: $19.25 - $21.25 Hourly (based on total years of experience with Adult IDD populations) Same‑Day Offers & Optional Rapid Onboarding - July 11, 2026 11a-2p Qualified candidates may receive same‑day offers at the event. Responsibilities Manages, supervises, instructs, supports, and provides guidance to assigned individuals served in accordance with the individual's support plan, emphasizing community integration in all activities, including but not limited to: Personal healthcare, hygiene, religious and sexual preferences, ethnic and cultural support, recreational/leisure/socialization activities, physical fitness, healthy living, family visits, independence, food purchasing, meal preparation, housekeeping, clothing maintenance, financial management, social etiquette, interpersonal relationships, employment/vocational responsibilities, safety and emergency response Performs routine housekeeping duties daily (sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, organizing; cleans kitchen appliances; sanitizes bathrooms) Transports individuals to and from program sites, appointments, and community activities Completes laundry, mending, and ironing as assigned Administers all medications within prescribed time frames, inventories medications as required, and procures refills in accordance with agency Medication Administration protocols Oversees and supervises activities and whereabouts of each individual per the support plan Purchases groceries based upon weekly menu and prepares all meals and snacks according to dietary restrictions Assists individuals in the use, care, maintenance, and repair of adaptive and medical devices and equipment (glasses, hearing aids, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) Provides support during community activities to ensure safety and engagement Completes assessments, behavior management planning, and required documentation (goal training, progress notes, communication logs, incident reports, medication logs, emergencies, repair issues) Maintains confidentiality of sensitive or personal information regarding individuals, employees, or Elwyn New Jersey Remains on duty until relieved by replacement staff Accepts reassignment to support individuals in other residences and locations when needed Places trash and recyclables on scheduled trash days Maintains, organizes, files, and purges records as assigned Attends at least eight (8) staff meetings per year Adheres to all current policies and procedures of Elwyn New Jersey and state-mandated training and certifications Cooperates with Elwyn New Jersey, the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services, and authorized investigative bodies during inspections, inquiries, or investigations Performs CPR, safe crisis prevention and intervention, and medication administration using agency-trained protocols Performs other duties as assigned Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED Experience in a related field or with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Non‑profit human service experience highly preferred Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills Excellent judgment and independent problem‑solving ability Must be able to perform CPR, first aid, and safety care crisis prevention and intervention techniques using agency-trained protocols Good customer interaction, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills Basic experience with web‑based applications and email applications preferred Must submit to a criminal background check and drug test and be determined to be not disqualified by the New Jersey Department of Human Services before working Must agree to have name checked against the New Jersey Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and NJ Child Abuse Registry (CARI) Must possess a current, valid driver’s license in state of residence, with a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States and an acceptable driving record Equal Opportunity Employer Elwyn is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
