The position is located onsite in Oneonta, New York, where you will be an integral part of our hospital's orthopedic unit. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Provide hands-on therapy, including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises, to facilitate recovery.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress accurately, making adjustments to treatment plans as directed.
• Educate patients on appropriate exercise techniques and self-management strategies to encourage independence in their rehabilitation.
• Work effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and delivery of comprehensive care.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records according to legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role primarily focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic procedures or injuries, ranging from sports-related traumas to post-surgical rehabilitation. You will encounter a diverse patient demographic, including athletes, active adults, and older adults requiring specialized care for joint replacement or fracture recovery. Your commitment to empathetic patient care will play a crucial role in their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working in an orthopedic setting.
• Proficient knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 50,000 to 70,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to the base salary, our benefits package includes:
