As Quality Manager you will lead a team of quality and safety professionals across manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO standards (9001, 13485, 14001, 45001), driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of operational excellence and safety. This role requires strategic oversight of quality systems and cross‑functional collaboration to meet production goals and regulatory requirements. Primary Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of Quality Assurance professionals across multiple manufacturing lines. Oversee incoming material inspection, in-process quality control, and final product release to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory standards. Support site-wide EHS programs including hazard identification, risk mitigation, incident investigation, and regulatory reporting. Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality and safety issues, ensuring timely resolution and documentation. Support and lead internal and external audits (ISO and customer) and ensure audit readiness across all manufacturing areas. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and EHS, and report trends to senior leadership. Champion Novanta Growth System initiatives to reduce waste, improve yield, and enhance product quality. Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and occupational health standards, including chemical handling, PPE usage, and emergency response protocols. Support new product introductions (NPI) by establishing quality plans, validation protocols, and risk assessments. General Tasks Maintain strict compliance with quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety regulations. Implement and sustain systems aligned with ISO and regulatory requirements. Conduct job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and deliver job‑specific safety training. Promote environmentally responsible and safe working conditions, including prevention of workplace injuries and environmental incidents. Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. Deep understanding of ISO standards, FDA regulations, and manufacturing quality systems. Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Travel Requirements Less than 10% Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand and walk on the production floor for extended periods Compensation and Benefits The salary for this role will range from 120,120 to 175, 170 annually based on full‑time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc. Certain roles may be eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation and/or long‑term incentives.
