Industrial Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Location: Edison, NJ
Pay: $30.00–$37.00/hour
Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Schedule: Flexible — 1st or 2nd Shift Available
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and maintain manufacturing equipment.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with older industrial machinery.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Repair and rebuild bearings, shafts, gears, gearboxes, motors, belts, chains, and couplings.
- Troubleshoot basic PLC-controlled equipment.
- Read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Hands-on industrial machinery maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with hydraulics, bearings, shafts, gears, motors, and mechanical power transmission.
- Experience with older/legacy PLC-controlled equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and safely.
Ideal background: Industrial Maintenance Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Electro-Mechanical Technician, Millwright, or Machinery Repair Technician.
