Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Breast Oncology

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (1 remote day per week)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Compensation: $150,000–$170,000+ base salary, plus performance bonus, annual merit increases, and comprehensive benefits

Position Overview

An established and innovative oncology practice is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Breast Oncology program. Working closely with a Breast Medical Oncologist, this provider will play a key role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care across diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and supportive care.

This is an excellent opportunity for an oncology APP who values meaningful patient relationships, multidisciplinary collaboration, and high-quality clinical outcomes in a concierge-style outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, physical exams, and treatment evaluations
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the supervising oncologist
• Manage treatment-related symptoms, side effects, and oncology-related conditions
• Monitor chemotherapy and infusion patients and address complications as needed
• Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic results
• Prescribe medications and supportive therapies
• Coordinate referrals and multidisciplinary care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, symptom management, and survivorship planning
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education initiatives

Qualifications

Required

• At least 1-2 years of NP or PA experience, preferably in oncology
• MUST have oncology experience; preferably as a NP/PA but will consider extensive RN experience
• Active California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• DEA registration
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient management skills

Preferred

• Breast oncology experience
• Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient oncology settings
• Prior oncology nursing experience

• Average patient volume: 10–15 patients per day
• Primarily outpatient practice
• Significant autonomy with strong physician collaboration
• Credentialing through a major Los Angeles health system
• Target start date: ASAP
