CNC Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist Location: Buffalo, NY Employment Type: Direct Hire Industry: Manufacturing Compensation: $38,000 - $65,000 (may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location) About the Opportunity This role requires precise handling of tools and machinery in a manufacturing setting, with prolonged physical engagement. Primary duties include operating CNC machines, maintaining safety, quality, and SOP compliance, identifying and reporting process inefficiencies, and interpreting blueprints. Key Responsibilities Independently operate HMC, mill‑turn, grinder, and balancer machines with minimal supervision. Consistently follow all safety, quality, and SOP requirements. Identify and report process inefficiencies or equipment issues. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization (6S) in assigned work areas. Provide feedback to engineers and team leads on recurring issues and potential improvements. Accurately interpret blueprints, perform in‑process inspections, and make basic offsets or adjustments. Requirements 0‑8 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to operate multiple machine types efficiently. Understanding of basic G‑code and M‑code commands.
