Infusion Rn

The infusion RN is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the consulting/infusion department. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility indicative of professional expectations with minimal supervision. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with practitioners about changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Initiates IV's via central venous devices or by peripheral access and administers blood transfusions, or drug infusions as ordered and directed by a licensed practitioner.
