Registered Nurse (RN) - Shift Care

Schedule: M-F; 8:00a-4:30p

Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:

Current RN License (State required)

BLS Certification

ACLS Certification

ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred experience in chemotherapy)

Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate EMR programs

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide direct and indirect patient care in accordance with professional standards and minimal supervision.

Perform comprehensive assessments, including pain assessments, and re-evaluate treatment effectiveness based on patient responses.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up instructions.

Initiate IVs via central venous devices or peripheral access and administer medications including blood transfusions and drug infusions as directed by licensed practitioners.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and utilize specialty equipment to assist with procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Document accurate patient medical histories and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
