Job Description
Title: Infusion RN

Schedule: Days; M-F 8:00a-4:30p

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:
- Current RN License Required
- BLS Required
- ACLS Required
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification Required
- Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience Preferred
- Chemotherapy experience preferred
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate EMR programs

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the infusion department, determining priorities based on physical and psychosocial needs.
- Communicate effectively with practitioners regarding changes in patient status and assessment findings.
- Initiate IVs via central venous devices or peripheral access, and administer blood transfusions or drug infusions as ordered.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including pain assessment and management, while providing education to patients and families about treatment plans.
- Prepare and administer medications according to policies and nursing standards, managing medication supplies as necessary.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance care quality and patient safety.
