Details Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM) Every other weekend required, plus holidays as needed No on-call responsibilities Requirements Active CA RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/step-down experience required Experience with Amiodarone, Heparin, Cardizem, and Dopamine drips required Experience caring for Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post CABG, and Pre/Post TAVR patients required Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and pacemaker care Experience with respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management Wound care/wound vac experience preferred Additional Information Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response for telemetry patients Titrate cardiac drips and manage Heparin protocols Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias on the telemetry unit Holiday coverage required, with only one holiday off per contract permitted Local candidates accepted at the local rate Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate Returning staff must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler First-time travelers are not considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-750951.
