Cardiac Sonographer

Part‑Time Independent Contractor (1099), approximately 2 days per week Position Summary The Cardiac Sonographer performs high‑quality transthoracic echocardiograms in a physician‑led outpatient lab with focus on efficiency, diagnostic accuracy, and ICA/IAC accreditation standards. Key Responsibilities Perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) Perform Doppler and strain imaging Perform contrast (Definity) and bubble studies Maintain workflow efficiency (8–10/day) Assist with scheduling and supplies Maintain equipment and documentation Quality & Accreditation Participate in QI activities, image review, and maintain ICA/IAC standards. Continuing Education Maintain RDCS/RCS certification and CE requirements; stay current with ASE guidelines. Compensation $50–55 per study depending on experience +$10 for contrast or bubble studies Qualifications Required 1–2 years echocardiography experience Experience with contrast and bubble studies Ability to work independently Preferred Experience with GE ultrasound systems Familiarity with ViewPoint Credentialing & Compliance Requirements Maintain active certification and CE compliance Maintain professional liability insurance (preferred or as required) Meet credentialing requirements of affiliated facilities, including: Background check Drug screening Immunizations HIPAA/compliance training Physical Requirements Ability to stand and scan for extended periods Repetitive upper extremity use Ability to assist with patient positioning Ability to lift or move equipment/patients as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr
