Licensed Practical Nurse Medical Surgical

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Medical Surgical unit within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse adult population with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with Mission Health policies and state nursing regulations, you will perform direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, performing wound care and other treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and accurately documenting assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record. You will support physicians and RNs during examinations, procedures, admissions, transfers, and discharges, while helping to coordinate care and communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team. This position is ideal for an LPN who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment, demonstrates strong clinical judgment within their scope of practice, and is committed to safety, quality, and compassionate service. You will contribute to patient education, reinforce discharge instructions, and help patients and families understand treatment plans.
