Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Critical Care/Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Efficient time management Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Smartphone to communicate with physicians Proficiency in nursing skills such as IV starts and blood draws NG tube placements ECG rhythm interpretation Lab and ABG interpretation Management of critical care drips and titrations Management of ventilators, arterial lines, chest tubes, and central venous lines Assisting physicians with bedside procedures and conscious sedation Ability to effectively communicate with patients and families Description: This role involves providing care in a critical care setting. The facility consists of multiple critical care units with various bed capacities. Patient ratios vary by unit type. Equipment includes advanced monitoring systems and various therapeutic devices. Staff may float between different critical care areas as needed. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Common diagnoses include respiratory failure, strokes, shock conditions, GI bleeds, and post-operative disorders. Ideal candidates will have experience in high-acuity environments. Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to function in critical situations. Education requirements include completion of assigned online learning and certifications. Dress code mandates royal blue scrubs, with specific guidelines for acceptable attire.
