Cash Disbursement Specialist

What You’ll Do Promptly and accurately research, review, and process payments from various sources along with loss and loss recoveries. Research and resolve unidentified transactions in the cash suspense ledger and assist in the reconciliation process of suspense items. Coordinate the daily department balancing spreadsheet and review transactions identified in the payment exception reports. Assist in researching and resolving items in general ledger accounts, including processing necessary entries to clear outstanding amounts. Process complex payment/account transactions, adjustments, and reconciling items. Manage the department email box, distribute items to team members for processing, and handle complex requests. Promptly and accurately process requests and/or respond to inquiries from internal and external customers. Take corrective action as necessary to resolve issues. Prepare and/or maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation within the area of responsibility. Help coordinate and assist with department meetings along with training and development of team members. Qualifications Excels at proofreading, spotting inconsistencies and proactively resolving discrepancies. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely via email while documenting requests. Comfortable navigating, entering data, creating basic charts and using formulas in Excel. Experience with Microsoft Suite. Prior experience in the financial industry preferred; experience with wires is a plus.
