Registered Nurse (RN) - Procedural Specialty

Location: New York

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day 4x10-hour shifts from 08:00 to 18:30, varying days off based on department needs.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a procedural setting and is expected to float between Pre-Anesthesia and PACU as needed. The position involves managing patients with diagnoses including pancreatic, lung, colon, gastric cancer, as well as other procedural cases. RNs will need to complete mandatory competencies with phlebotomy and IV placements.

Responsibilities:

• Administer conscious sedation and manage airway as required.
• Perform endoscopic procedures including EUS, ERCP, and navigational bronchoscopy.
• Monitor patient conditions pre- and post-procedure.
• Handle specimen collection and labeling effectively.
• Document patient care accurately in the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a procedural or acute care setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Active New York state nursing license required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
