Electrical Engineering TechnicianLocation: West Sayville, NY 11796We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to support testing, troubleshooting, and evaluation of cutting-edge electronic products and systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician with hands-on experience using electrical test equipment and a strong understanding of engineering principles. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering laboratory environment supporting innovative technologies and product development initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate electrical test equipment to evaluate product, assembly, and system performance under simulated operating conditions.Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on developmental products and prototypes.Assemble electrical and electronic systems according to engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.Document test procedures, results, observations, and analysis using Excel spreadsheets and internal reporting tools.Troubleshoot and calibrate instruments, test setups, and associated fixtures.Analyze test data and provide recommendations for corrective actions or improvements.Follow laboratory procedures, safety requirements, operational documents, and work instructions.Assist engineering teams with problem resolution before, during, and after product development and testing.Maintain accurate records and archive test results for future reference.Collaborate with team members and share knowledge of lab procedures and best practices.Required QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology (BSET), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), or related technical discipline.Experience using electrical test equipment, including: OscilloscopesVoltmetersMultimetersAnalyzersElectrical probesOther data acquisition and testing equipmentAbility to read and interpret: Electrical schematicsEngineering drawingsTechnical specificationsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.Previous experience in an electrical test lab, engineering lab, internship, co-op, or related technical environment.Understanding of engineering testing procedures and documentation practices.Experience with prototype testing and product validation.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of WEST SAYVILLE, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
