Position Summary Fidelio Dental Insurance is seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to join our growing underwriting team. This role is responsible for evaluating risk, pricing employer-sponsored dental plans, analyzing claims experience, and supporting renewal and new business strategies. The position combines financial analysis, insurance underwriting, and data-driven decision making to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability. The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, building financial models, assessing risk, and translating complex information into business recommendations. Key Responsibilities Analyze claims experience, utilization patterns, demographic data, and financial performance for new and existing clients. Build financial models and forecasting tools to support pricing and business decisions. Evaluate profitability, loss ratios, and key performance metrics across employer groups. Develop pricing recommendations for new business opportunities and client renewals. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through detailed data analysis. Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Operations, and Executive Leadership to support strategic initiatives. Create reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate actionable business insights. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Support the development of analytical tools and process improvements. Participate in special projects related to growth, product development, and operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Actuarial Science, or a related field preferred. 3-7 years of experience in underwriting, financial analysis, actuarial support, healthcare analytics, employee benefits consulting, or insurance pricing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis. Experience working with large datasets and drawing meaningful business conclusions. Ability to interpret financial reports, claims data, utilization trends, and performance metrics. Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
