CNC 5 Axis Set Up Operator - 2nd Shift

Location: Huntington Beach, CA

Workplace: On-Site

Position Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time

Pay Range: $25.00-$38.00/hour

Shift: 2nd Shift

Position Summary

A confidential precision manufacturing company in Huntington Beach is seeking a CNC Machinist / Set-up Operator for second shift. This hands-on role is responsible for setup, adjustments, preventive maintenance and operation of CNC milling machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines.
• Change cutters when tools become dull and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform part inspection checks and read blueprints.
• Inform the manager of machine and production problems.
• Help production operators resolve issues.
• Participate in required training, continuous improvement, safety and OSHA training.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and pay close attention to details.
• Communicate clearly in written and spoken English.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Five years of CNC milling/setup experience or certification from a trade school.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform inspection checks.
• Hands-on CNC setup and operation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Heidenhain control experience.
• CNC programming experience.
• Fanuc robotics operation experience.
