Two contract opportunities are available for Special Education Teachers at the middle and high school level, both located onsite in an accessible Connecticut location. Partner with a dedicated team to deliver individualized instruction and help every student reach their potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License with all required certifications
• Previous experience in a special education classroom, preferably at the middle or high school level
• Familiarity with CT-SEDS (Connecticut Special Education Data System) is a plus
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Able to build rapport with students, staff, and families and adapt to changing classroom needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique strengths and goals
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in accordance with IEP objectives
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and paraprofessionals to support inclusive practices
• Collect and maintain accurate data and documentation on student progress
• Participate in team meetings and parent conferences
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture

Schedule & Assignment Details:

• 35 hours per week, onsite
• Two positions open:
  • High school assignment from late September through late December
  • Middle school assignment with immediate start; end date tentatively determined
