What you will do The Production Lead is responsible for keeping the production and milk receiving areas in a safe, sanitary and efficient work order. Here’s a day in the life Complex Problem Solving – Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Dairy Science – Understands the components of milk, starter bacteria, and other ingredients, and the processing of making dairy products to a specification Statistical Process Control – Understands basic statistics and their application in understanding a process and how it is responding to correction Physics – Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships Systems Evaluation – Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system Judgment and decision Making – Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one Innovation – Job requires creativity and alternative thinking to develop new ideas for and answers to work‑related problems Equipment maintenance – Performing basic routine maintenance on equipment and determine when other maintenance is needed Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems Troubleshooting – Determining causes of operating errors, deciding what to do about it Operation and Control – Controlling operations of equipment or systems Analytical Thinking – Job requires analyzing information and using logic to address work‑related issues and problems Clerical – Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications Negotiation – Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences Time Management – Managing one’s own time and the time of others Coordination – Adjusting actions in relation to others’ actions Social perceptiveness – Being aware of others’ reactions and understanding why they react as they do Instruction – Teaching others how to do something Service Orientation – Actively looking for ways to help people Learning Strategies – Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things Persuasion – Persuading others to change their minds or behavior Concern for others – Job requires being sensitive to others’ needs and feelings and being understanding and helpful on the job Leadership – Job requires a willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with others – Handling complaints, setting disputes, resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others Developing and Building Teams – Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High School Diploma or GED 2-3 years of Food Manufacturing Experience Prior Lead experience or education preferred Industry leading benefit and reward programs We offer outstanding benefits to our employees.
