RBHis looking for compassionate, dedicated people in the Greater RVA area who want to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends. You will receive ongoing training in the Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) model as you work with families, youth, their communities, and other key members of their ecology to implement MST as designed. Extensive research has proven the effectiveness of MST. MST Therapists do whatever it takes, via close collaboration with all involved, to address the needs of youth who are before the juvenile courts and/or are at risk for out-of-home placement. You will empower families to address challenging and problematic behavior, and help youth ages 12 to 18 to make life-transforming changes. Treatment progress is made through intensive interventions such as skill building, changing unhelpful family interactions, and increasing social support, to name a few. The successful applicant will perform challenging professional work providing direct clinical service to clients involving intake, assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, providing prevention services, managing cases, providing therapy, maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the assigned supervisor. RBHA fully promotes and supports the required clinical supervision for clinical licensure. Essential Functions Perform intakes, client assessments and diagnostic interviews; conduct mental health and substance use disorder assessments and monitor level of functioning. Monitor and manage an assigned caseload. Assist client in identifying self-determined goals and jointly prepare individualized service plan. Develop and facilitate psycho-educational groups; provide individual, family and group counseling; implement treatment plans; coordinate daily treatment schedule. Coordinate case management services; coordinate and link client to community resources and medical services; interface with other service providers and client support system. Provide crisis intervention and prevention services to individuals and families. Provide consultation, education and prevention services; provide drug and alcohol testing; conduct urine analysis. Document and chart information about client assessment, diagnostic studies, individual service plans, progress notes, quarterly and annual reviews, discharge summaries and other client related data, correspondence, medical records, etc; prepare and submit reports as required. Monitor and audit clinical and medical records and practices for compliance with regulatory, reimbursement and agency standards; review documentation for accuracy; assist with reviewing division policies and procedures. Represent clients and Authority in court and legal proceedings. Provide transportation assistance, as needed. Provide child minding assistance to clients attending treatment groups, as needed. Serve on a variety of committees as directed; prepare and distribute agendas; attend and participate in a variety of meetings. Attend professional conferences and trainings as required.
