Job Title: Telecommunications Technician Company: TEKsystems Inc. Type: 6-Month project with possible extension/conversion Mandatory 50 hour work week (M-F | 7am-5:30) Compensation: Competitive Salary with Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k Benefits Job Description: TEKsystems Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Telecommunications Technician to join our team in the Greater Fort WayneArea. This position offers a 6-month contract with the possibility of a permanent hire, along with comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits. Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and equipment. - Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot network issues. - Configure and program telecommunications devices and systems. - Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless network connectivity. - Provide technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving issues. - Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory and service activities. - Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. - Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus. - Proven experience in telecommunications or related field. - Knowledge of telecommunications systems, including routers, switches, and cabling. - Familiarity with VoIP, PBX systems, and network protocols. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Willingness to adapt to changing technologies and requirements. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
