Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in MarylandThis facility is seeking a dedicated RN to provide high-quality emergency care on the night shift. The position involves managing a diverse patient population with critical and urgent needs in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with established clinical protocols and safety standards. The role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team dedicated to patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland RN license; Certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), NIH (National Institute of Health), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course); 0 years of experience; Epic experience preferred; outpatient and emergency department experience preferred; experience with adult and pediatric populations preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, trauma level I or II experience, travel experience, experience with charting systems
• Additional Information:
  • The position involves caring for patients with diagnoses including chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, and respiratory illnesses
  • Float within the unit and specialty as needed; no on-call required
  • Weekend coverage required every other weekend; holidays required as scheduled
  • Patient ratio of 4:1 during nights; interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more
  • Special procedures may include arterial line management, chest tube insertion, airway management, and ventilator support
  • The role entails maintaining compliance with facility policies and meeting onboarding requirements within designated timeframes
