Plant Utilities Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)

Baxter seeks a Plant Utilities Maintenance Technician for night-shift operations at its Round Lake facility. The role involves maintaining building systems and utility equipment critical to pharmaceutical manufacturing, including HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and utility systems
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
- Replace components including filters, belts, motors, compressors, sensors, and contactors
- Monitor building systems and alarms to address conditions before impacting operations
- Maintain high-pressure steam and hot water boilers and associated chemical treatment programs
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation
- Safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- No allergies to Penicillin, Cephalosporin, or related products
Compensation: $52,800-$72,600
