SUMMARY

General Description:

Under direct supervision of the Chief of Security, the role of the Counterintelligence/Intelligence Analyst is primarily to serve as a strategic advisor. This pivotal role is responsible for the comprehensive protection of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport, requiring the synthesis of classified, proprietary, and open-source intelligence to identify and mitigate risks from foreign intelligence entities, economic espionage, and insider threats. By developing proactive threat assessments and maintaining robust liaison relationships with federal and state partners, the Analyst will provide the executive leadership with the critical situational awareness necessary to safeguard high-value launch infrastructure, intellectual property, and national security interests in an increasingly complex aerospace threat environment.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

1. SOC Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of our private Security Operations Center, ensuring compliance for and proper operation of all monitoring systems, communication loops, and incident response protocols.
2. Intelligence Synthesis: Collect and analyze data from OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) , social media threads ( SOCMINT ), deep/dark web monitoring, law enforcement partnerships and proprietary feeds to identify emerging threats.
3. Threat Mapping: Develop and maintain a comprehensive "Threat Picture" for the spaceport, focusing on everything from corporate espionage and physical protests to geopolitical instability and cyber-physical risks.
4. Executive Briefings: Translate complex intelligence data into concise, high-impact briefings and visualizations for company leadership. 
5. Proactive Monitoring: Identify patterns in social media and fringe forums to anticipate "flashpoint" events before they reach our perimeter.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Physical Security and Cyber teams to ensure intelligence is integrated into real-world tactical responses.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

General Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

College: Bachelor’s degree

Major Internal Relations, Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies or a related field .

Job-Related Experience:

• 4+ years in intelligence analysis (Military, Law Enforcement, or High-End Private Sector)
• Mastery of OSINT methodologies, SOC management software, and threat intelligence platforms (TIPS)
• Exceptional writing skills. Ability to explain a “distributed Denial of Service” or a “Physical Breach Strategy in three bullet points.
• Previous experience in aerospace, defense or critical infrastructure security.

Certifications: Minimum Clearance level – Secret; Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active TS SCI security clearance with CI polygraph. 

Licenses, etc.: Valid driver's license is necessary when operating a vehicle while on agency business.

• Tech-Savvy Analyst: You are proficient with OSINT tools (e.g., Maltego, SpiderFoot, Dataminr, or Babel Street) and understand how to leverage automated scrapers without losing the "human touch" of analysis.
• Strategically Minded: You understand that security at a spaceport isn't just about fences; it’s about protecting intellectual property, public reputation, and the nation-state bad actors.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of radiation and vibration. 

Work environment involves significant risks with exposure to potentially dangerous or extremely adverse conditions which require a range of safety and other precautions, e.g. fieldwork on launch pads, near high pressure and cryogenic systems, near extremely energetic materials. 

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather); working near moving mechanical parts; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
