Auto Body Technician – Heavy Duty Trucks & Commercial Vehicles
Exeter, NH
$25–$35/hr | Full-Time | Mon–Fri 7:30AM–4:00PM
We’re hiring a hands-on Auto Body Technician / Body Shop Specialist to work on heavy-duty trucks, tractors, and commercial vehicles in a busy, well-equipped shop in Exeter, NH. If you’ve got experience with collision repair, bodywork, panel replacement, paint prep, and finishing , this is steady, year-round work with a strong team behind you.
This isn’t a “light duty” body shop role—this is heavy equipment, commercial fleets, and real repair work from dent removal to full rebuilds.
What You’ll Do
- Repair collision damage on heavy-duty trucks, tractors, and commercial vehicles
- Perform tear-down, rebuild, and reassembly of body components
- Remove dents, dings, and structural damage using proper body tools
- Replace and align panels, bumpers, doors, and body sections
- Work with fiberglass and aluminum repairs
- Handle full surface prep: sanding, buffing, polishing
- Mix and apply paint products for refinishing and touch-ups
- Install and replace windshields and glass components
- Remove/reinstall accessories on commercial units
- Read and follow repair estimates, manuals, and diagrams
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in auto body repair, collision repair, or heavy truck bodywork
- Strong skills in frame/body alignment, panel fitment, and refinishing
- Familiar with painting, sanding, and prep work
- Able to tear down and rebuild commercial vehicles
- Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail
- Ability to read repair instructions and technical diagrams
- Reliable, dependable, and strong work ethic
- Able to lift and handle heavy truck components
- Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation
Compensation & Schedule
- $25–$35/hour based on experience
- Full-time, steady weekday schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–4:00PM (no nights, no weekends)
