About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher to join our team as a First Steps 4K Lead Teacher. If you are passionate about working with young children and helping them develop essential skills, we encourage you to apply. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong commitment to creating a safe and engaging learning environment.
What You'll Do- Create and implement weekly lesson plans that align with the First Steps 4K approved curriculum, ensuring a fun and engaging learning experience for students.
- Communicate regularly with parents and families through daily or weekly updates, keeping them informed about their child's progress and activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment by performing daily cleaning routines and adhering to employer policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere by promoting a culture of safety and respect.
- Attend all required trainings and obtain necessary continuing education hours to stay up-to-date with the latest best practices in early childhood education.
- Follow all employer policies and procedures at all times, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.
- Adhere to the First Steps 4K Guidelines, which provide a framework for delivering high-quality early childhood education.
- Able to pass a Child Abuse and Neglect Registry background check, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the program.
- Ability to use a variety of computer tasks, including software and systems used in early childhood education.
- Two-year Associate's Degree in "Early Childhood" and must be demonstrate progress towards a four-year education program, providing a strong foundation for delivering high-quality early childhood education.
- Experience working in a play-based environment, where creativity and flexibility are encouraged and valued.
- CPR and First Aid Certification, demonstrating a commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Ability to work creatively and flexibly, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood or a related field, providing a strong foundation for delivering high-quality early childhood education.
