Travel Pharmacist - $3,300 per week

LanceSoft is seeking a travel Pharmacist for a travel job in Johnson City, New York.

Job Description & Requirements

Core Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and verify physician prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, drug interactions, and appropriateness.
• Dispense prescription medications in compliance with New York State Education Department pharmacy regulations and federal laws.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, storage, and potential interactions.
• Monitor patient medication therapy and evaluate effectiveness and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers to optimize patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient medication profiles and pharmacy records.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with controlled substance regulations including DEA requirements.
• Manage inventory, medication storage, expiration tracking, and drug procurement.
• Prepare and dispense sterile and non-sterile compounded medications when required.
• Administer immunizations and vaccinations as permitted under New York State law.
• Provide medication therapy management (MTM) and clinical consultations.
• Respond to drug information requests from healthcare providers and patients.
• Monitor for adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in quality assurance, medication safety, and infection control initiatives.
