• Shift: Day, 5x8-hour (11:00 AM - 7:30 PM), rotating weekends and occasional holidays

• Experience: Previous experience in sterile processing required

What You'll Do

• Decontaminate surgical instruments including drills, scopes, and robotic devices such as DaVinci
• Assemble instruments and trays across all service lines, including trauma, loaners, and peel pack procedures
• Operate sterilization equipment (Sterrad and steam sterilizers)
• Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing
• Manage sterile storage and inventory tracking using Censitrac system
• Collaborate with OR staff as an efficient liaison for instrument processing
• Utilize Medivator equipment and maintain compliance with sterilization protocols

What You Need
Required:

• Certification: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM)
• Experience with all areas of sterile processing, including sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly
• Familiarity with Censitrac tracking system and Medivator devices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma environment

Preferred:

• Previous experience in trauma or Level I trauma facilities
• Experience with robotic surgical instruments and scopes

This position is based at a busy, Level One trauma facility in Columbus, Ohio, that demands experienced sterile processing technicians capable of handling high-volume surgical cases. You will be responsible for ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are properly sterilized, stored, and ready for procedures, supporting our team in delivering exceptional patient care.
