Join our healthcare team as a Referral Coordinator in Fort Pierce ! This is a full-time, Monday–Friday, temp-to-hire opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys coordinating patient care. In this role, you'll schedule specialty appointments and diagnostic testing, process referrals and prior authorizations, communicate with insurance companies and providers, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and help ensure patients receive timely, high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate referrals, specialty appointments, and diagnostic testing.
- Process prior authorizations and communicate with insurance carriers.
- Maintain accurate patient records and referral documentation in the EHR.
- Follow up with patients, providers, and specialists to ensure timely care.
- Review referral details with patients and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), scheduling software, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Level 2 background clearance and required immunization documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
