Seasonal Customer Service Assistant

Follows up with FedEx on address corrections. Serves as the point of contact for the Shipping Team. Confirms orders by phone and email, logs orders, and obtains missing order information. Processes and proofs all orders, including importing and processing internet orders and orders from the outsourced call center. Responds to messages on the customer service voicemail system, as well as all service faxes, emails, letters, and correspondence. Troubleshoots customer problems and special requests, including tracking packages, faxing or mailing invoices, reships, and quality follow-up calls. Performs customer callbacks for declined credit cards and completes any necessary follow-up. Maintains and updates the customer database by entering new customer information, catalog requests, mailing lists, and email addresses. Requires accurate typing, spelling, and grammar skills. Sorts all incoming mail and distributes it to the appropriate mailboxes. Performs necessary administrative work to maintain an organized and functional customer service center, including invoicing, faxing, quote preparation, filing, stocking, special projects, and document shredding. Contributes to maintaining a safe work environment at all times. Contributes to the team effort by assisting in other departments as needed. Requirements Minimum one year of customer service experience, with clear verbal communication and excellent written communication skills. Strong phone skills. Professional and enthusiastic interest in providing excellent customer service. Basic PC skills in a Windows environment. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
