Registered Nurse Specialist Infection Control

Your future role at a glance Location: Tulsa, OK Facility: Ascension Medical Center Specialty: Infection Control Schedule: Full-Time, 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday How you'll make an impact in this role Lead Outbreak Response : Track and investigate infection clusters to stop the spread of germs quickly. Train Hospital Staff : Teach doctors and nurses safe hygiene and clean care methods. Create Safety Rules : Write clear health policies based on current medical science and laws. Review Patient Data : Check daily reports to find and fix hidden infection risks. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required. Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certification in Infection Prevention and Control required within 3 years of hire required. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time hire. What additional requirements you'll need Certified in Infection Control (CIC) credential and 3+ years of Infection Prevention experience with surgical background is strongly preferred. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of hospital staff (Executive Leadership, Physicians, front line teams, nursing, etc.) Demonstrable accountability, critical thinking, follow-through, and relationship-building skills.
