Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permitting / Construction Coordinator to join our team and to support our construction operations. This role is responsible for managing permitting processes, scheduling inspections when needed, coordinating with subcontractors, and assisting with bid requests to ensure projects move forward efficiently and remain in compliance with local, state, regulations. Your expertise will help streamline project timelines, mitigate risks, and support sustainable development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, track, and manage permit applications with local municipalities and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather required documentation and ensure compliance with all permitting requirements.
• Coordinate and schedule required inspections; track approvals and address corrections as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive project schedules related to permitting milestones to ensure timely completion.
• Request, collect, and organize bids from vendors and subcontractors.
• Upload important project documents to Asana, so superintendents are able to review.
• Maintain detailed records of permit applications, correspondence, approvals, and renewals to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as a point of contact between field teams, subcontractors, inspectors and office staff.

Requirements

• Experience working with local building departments and inspectors.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple permits simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of project detail principles to coordinate workflow efficiently from initiation through projects.
• Ability to read basic construction plans and specifications.
