Evening Operations Manager

Frontier House is a small, private members club located in a restored 1905 Federal-style townhome on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The Club serves a highly engaged community of leaders from national security, technology, government, investment, and related fields. Unlike a traditional country, city, or dining club, Frontier House operates as an intimate, high-touch environment where members regularly use the House for meetings, private conversations, small events, receptions, coworking, and relationship building. The approximately 3,000-square-foot property includes meeting and entertaining spaces, a boardroom, member workspaces, a podcast studio, and outdoor patio. Because of the Club’s small physical footprint and intentionally limited membership, staff know the members, understand how they use the House, and are expected to deliver highly personal service. Frontier House is an early-stage and growing club. Employees joining the team will have an opportunity to help establish the service standards, traditions, operating systems, and member experience of a new private club in Washington, D.C. Club is open 5 days per week, 12 months per year. Dining facilities unspecified Date Posted 9/22/2026 Job Title Evening Operations Manager Job Description The Evening Operations Manager owns the afternoon and evening operation of Frontier House DC, a private membership club on Capitol Hill. The primary mission is to take operational control of the House at 12:30 PM, deliver an exceptional member experience through cocktail hour and evening programming, and leave the House reset and securely closed by 7:30 PM on normal operating days. Responsibilities include member and guest hospitality, afternoon and evening membership tours, event support, food and beverage readiness, vendor coordination, inventory and supplies, routine administration, CRM updates, facility coordination, House reset, and closing and security procedures. The Evening Operations Manager maintains House standards throughout the shift and ensures all outstanding matters are documented before close. This is an early-career management position with significant exposure to membership, hospitality, events, facilities, and club operations. The position is designed to develop into increasing operational responsibility and provides a potential path toward a General Manager role. Candidate Qualifications Professional, polished, discreet, and highly dependable. Demonstrated hospitality mindset and ability to anticipate member and guest needs. Comfortable interacting professionally with senior executives, founders, investors, government officials, and other high-profile guests. Comfortable working a room during receptions, cocktail hours, member gatherings, and private events. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain exacting presentation and service standards without constant supervision. Able to operate and close the House independently and reliably remain on-site through the scheduled 7:30 PM close. Comfortable giving membership tours, explaining the Club, identifying prospective members, and conducting professional follow-up. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable using CRM, scheduling, email, and standard business software. Training on Frontier House systems will be provided. Able to coordinate vendors, deliveries, inventory, events, food and beverage readiness, and routine facility issues. Sound judgment and demonstrated ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion. Prior experience in a private club, luxury hotel, restaurant, hospitality venue, executive office, event operation, or other high-service environment is preferred but not required. Must reside within approximately 30 minutes of Frontier House or be willing to relocate within that distance. Reliable availability through the scheduled evening close is an essential requirement of the position. Educational Requirements The college education preference may be waived for candidates who demonstrate relevant professional experience, military service, hospitality or club experience, recognized professional credentials, or other qualifications that demonstrate the judgment, maturity, and capabilities required for the position.
