We are seeking a compassionate, full-time licensed clinician to join our Norwich Transitional House programs, providing clinical services to individuals navigating behavioral, substance use, psychiatric, and emotional challenges - helping them build sustainable recovery through thoughtful, individualized care.

What You'll Do:

As a Licensed Clinician at our Norwich Transitional House programs, you will provide direct clinical care through assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and discharge planning - supporting clients through every phase of their treatment journey while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include:

• Complete initial client assessments for placement and ongoing assessments for continued treatment or referral to a more appropriate level of care
• Establish individualized treatment plans formulated around client goals, targeted objectives, and interventions that maximize strengths and resources
• Utilize counseling skills to support clients through individual, group, or family counseling, exploring problems, attitudes, feelings, and alternative solutions
• Chart assessment and treatment planning results, including reports, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other client documentation in a timely manner
• Orient clients to the program, program goals, rules governing client conduct, and client rights upon admission
• Ensure insurance authorizations align with dates of treatment and services provided
• Provide education and information to clients, individually and through groups, on substance use disorders and recovery resources
• Coordinate case management needs, matching clients with appropriate services, agencies, and resources to support discharge planning
• Provide crisis intervention services in response to clients' acute emotional or physical distress
• Support clients in identifying strengths, weaknesses, and needs throughout ongoing treatment planning
• Identify client needs that cannot be met at the current level of care and assist with referrals to outside support systems and community resources
• Meet with the multidisciplinary team to report on client progress and discuss or modify treatment plans
• Formulate clinical interventions to promote stability and client engagement
• Provide counseling for family members or significant others as appropriate
• Meet all documentation requirements for client progress, referrals, contractual networking, and incident reporting

What You'll Need:

• Counselor III: Master's degree and Associate License (LMSW, LPC-A, or LMFT-A) required; starting salary $60,000
• Counselor IV: Master's degree and Independent License (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LADC) required; starting salary $80,000
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain thorough, accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to provide crisis intervention and respond effectively to clients in acute distress
• Skilled in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and community resources
