Certified Counselor

Compassionate Certified Substance Abuse Counselor Needed! Position Overview The Substance Abuse Counselor will assist patients through medically‑assisted treatments and offer techniques for handling opioid use. The Counselor conducts individual and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. The Counselor will evaluate patient progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to help the patient achieve improved outcomes. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment Complete a bio‑psychosocial assessment Facilitate, establish, and review the initial treatment plan with each patient Develop aftercare and discharge plans Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients Other related duties as determined by supervisor Qualifications Certified Counselor in the State of California Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus; must demonstrate a positive, non‑judgmental, and accepting attitude toward the patient population Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check Salary Range Salary ranges from $28.08 to $29.08 an hour. The salary will be set based on a variety of factors including experience, education, specialty, and training.
